About Midline Seven
A digital companybuilt between designand engineering.
Point of view
Most digital work is split in two. One team makes it look right, another makes it work, and the product lives in the gap between them.
Details get lost in handoff. Decisions get made twice. The interface promises things the system cannot do, or the system can do things nobody can find.
We work on the line between the two. The people shaping the interface understand the data behind it, and the people building the system care how it feels to use.
Principles
Four ruleswe work by.
- 01
Clarity over noise
Every screen has one job. If a section cannot say what question it answers, it goes.
- 02
Systems over decoration
We design the rules first: type, spacing, states, data. Good pages fall out of good systems.
- 03
Craft with purpose
Detail matters where people feel it. A payment state, an empty table, a slow network.
- 04
Build for the real world
Real data is messy and real users are busy. We design and test for both.
How we work
How we work
01
Design thinking
We start with the people using the product and the job they are trying to finish. Structure and flow come before visuals.
02
Technical thinking
Data models, permissions, failure states and integrations are decided early, while they are still cheap to change.
03
Execution
Small releases, real data as early as possible, and a working product over a perfect plan.
Technical depth
Payments, queues,real-time, ledgers. The parts nobody sees.
Our systems handle payroll inputs, client payments and hundreds of thousands of records. We design for the failure cases first: the retry, the double click, the dropped connection.
